I am delighted to announce my upcoming participation in the Missional Entrepreneurship Immersion Program, taking place January 29–31, 2025, in Sterling, Virginia. This unique event brings together faith-based leaders and innovators to explore creative approaches to addressing community needs through entrepreneurial ventures.
As the Founder and President of Personal Finance Reimagined, I’ll be leading a session titled “Developing an Entrepreneurial Road Map.” In this workshop, we’ll dive into the fundamentals of building a mission-driven business plan, covering critical areas like start-up costs, financial projections, operational strategy, and goal-setting. My goal is to equip participants with the tools they need to transform their ideas into actionable and sustainable plans that align with their mission.
The Immersion Program offers a dynamic learning environment for leaders to reimagine how they approach their work in their communities. It’s an opportunity to learn from real-world examples of successful initiatives that have merged innovation with purpose. One such example is Ridgetop Coffee and Tea, a thriving community hub that perfectly encapsulates the program’s vision of using entrepreneurial strategies to drive positive impact.
Ridgetop Coffee and Tea stands as a testament to what is possible when creativity and commitment to service come together. Its creation was championed by Brian Clark, the Director of the Missional Incubator for the National Capital Presbytery. Brian’s leadership exemplifies how entrepreneurial thinking can transform underutilized resources into vibrant spaces that serve both economic and community needs. From leading the development of Ridgetop Coffee to reimagining how faith-based organizations interact with their communities, Brian has been a key force in inspiring and empowering others to innovate.
This event also provides a collaborative space for participants to connect with like-minded leaders and experienced guides. The program includes breakout sessions, panel discussions, and hands-on learning opportunities, all designed to help participants refine their ideas and develop actionable strategies. Leaders like Nikki Collins, Carla Leon, and Chris Holland will also be sharing their expertise, offering diverse perspectives on how entrepreneurship can create a meaningful impact.
What excites me most about this program is the focus on turning ideas into tangible outcomes. Faith-based missions and community engagement initiatives are at their most impactful when they are supported by sustainable frameworks. This event is a chance to explore how entrepreneurial principles can empower leaders to expand their impact and bring their visions to life in practical, measurable ways.
I am honored to be part of this incredible gathering of leaders and innovators. For those attending, I look forward to learning and growing alongside you as we work to reimagine what mission-driven entrepreneurship can achieve. Registration is open for those still considering. I encourage you to join us on this inspiring journey. Together, we can unlock new possibilities for innovation and service in our communities.
