Now that you have completed the Personal Finance Reimagined (PFR) college decision readiness program, it is time to put your new skills into action on the road. To help students and counselors maximize upcoming campus visits, we have created a set of Companion Guides and Checklists powered by the College Xoice app. These resources work together to build a consistent, repeatable decision system, ensuring students make the best possible financial and life choices for their futures.

Here is how both students and counselors can use these tools to conquer the tour:

  • For Students: Think of the companion checklist as your personal college concierge. Because human memory is imperfect and easily blurs details between different campuses, this guide keeps you structured. You will use it to log into College Xoice and brainstorm targeted questions before the tour, log notes and photos during the walk, and score the university immediately afterward—especially before you arrive at the next campus.

  • For Counselors: Your guide is designed to facilitate active student engagement and ease any tour-related anxiety. It provides a roadmap to prompt meaningful action at every stage, including guiding criteria-focused conversations on the bus, offering small rewards for thoughtful questions during the tour, and leading group reflections once the visit wraps up.

By leaning into these resources, the entire team can turn casual observations into organized data, making the final college choice clear, confident, and well-informed.
